The 17 is my personal favorite of the series which may seem
odd given that my personal boat is a 20. The 20 happens to
be my wife's favorite so I am not about to cross her on
this one. Gotta be accommodating when it is easy after all.
Basically I like the 17 most because it seems to give the
most bang for the buck. It is spacious enough to take out 5
or 6 in substantial comfort with plenty of room for
stowage.
Stowage of gear seems to be one of the biggest shortcomings
of most traditional small craft. The CS series is
astonishing in the amount of space to stow gear between the
ample seat locker storage as well as foredeck and lazarette
stowage options.
